SUMMARY:Higher Ground: Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:Join us to celebrate the opening of Higher Ground\, an exhibit featuring a rescued\, restored 1917 Tiffany stained-glass window depicting the Transfiguration of Christ. Enjoy light refreshments\, music\, and an evening of art and conversation as you meet the artists and explore work by St. Paul’s Revival Group\, Jill Troppe\, Joan Colbert\, Suzanne Morgan\, AIA Emerita\, and filmmaker Eric S. Vaughan. \n\n\n\nHigher Ground considers the desire to rise above while remaining rooted in the world beneath our feet. Moving between the sacred and the terrestrial\, the exhibit explores transformation through the pairing of glass and reclaimed material\, myth and botany\, architecture and cinema. Across these works\, the exhibit reflects on what it means to seek elevation while remaining grounded.  \n\n\n\nThe opening reception is an open-campus event\, inviting guests to explore both Peg’s Gallery and the Baldwin Buss Merino House. It also marks the final opportunity to view Eighty-Six Reasons for Asylum Admission: A Domestic Beginning.  \n\n\n\nThis event is free and open to the public. Free parking is available on city streets and in lots throughout the walkable downtown neighborhood of Hudson\, Ohio.
